1-1. Register for My J-STAGE

To register for My J-STAGE, click “Sign in to My J-STAGE” button to open the sign in page, and click "Register now". Create your My J-STAGE ID, and enter your email address, secret question and answer for password recovery, and the capture image keyword.J-STAGE will send you an email for confirmation . Click the URL in the mail to finalize your registration.

1-2. Sign in to My J-STAGE

To sign in to My J-STAGE, enter your My J-STAGE ID and password. Click "Sign in" to enter the My J-STAGE Top page.

1-3. Forgot Password?

1-3. Forgot My J-STAGE ID or password?

Click "Forgot your My J-STAGE ID/password?" if you forgot your My J-STAGE ID/password. You will be prompted to enter your email address. Proceeding “Next”, answer your secret question and click “Send Password”, and you will receive your My J-STAGE ID and password via an email shortly.

Click "user name" of the header and use various functions.

2.1 Edit profile

Click "Edit profile" to change your email address and/or password, and the setting for email notifications.

2-2. Sign out

Click "Sign Out" to sign out from My J-STAGE.

2-3. Favorite search

You can add your search query as a favorite search?after your search on J-STAGE. You can save upto 5 favorite searches in the favorite search screen. To register or delete a profile, follow the instruction of 3-1.

 

2-4. Favorite articles

You can add any article(s) as a Favorite Article. You can view the registered articles on the screen shown in Figure 5. To register or delete an article, follow the instructions of 3-2.

2-5. Favorite titles

You can add a publication as a favorite title. You can view the titles of registered publications on the screen shown in Figure 6.
To register or delete a publication, follow the instruction of 3-3. Search only the publications registered on My J-STAGE as available.

2-6. Announcement alert

If you register for Announcement alert of a journal, you will be alerted via an email whenever a news or an announcement is released about a journal. To register or delete an Alert, follow the instructions of 3-3.

2-7. New arrival alert

If you register for new arrival alert of a journal, you will be alerted via an email whenever a new issue is uploaded to J-STAGE. To register or delete an alert, follow the instructions of 3-3.

2-8. Citation alert

You will be notified by an email if the article you register is cited. To register or delete an article for/from "Citation Alert," follow the instruction of 3-2.

2-9. Additional Info Alert

You will be notified by an email when new information (correction etc.) is added to the article you register.
To register or delete an article for/from "Additional Info Alert," follow the instruction of 3-2.

2-10. Authentication Alert

You will be notified by an email when the article you register that requires subscription changes into a free access paper. To register or delete an article for/from "Authentication Alert," follow the instruction of 3-2.

3-1. Add/Delete "Favorite Search Profiles"

(1) Add to "Favorite search"
Click the "Add to favorite search " link on the search results page.

(2) Delete "Favorite search"
Click "Favorite search " tab on the “Manage favorites” screen, and then press the button.

3-2. Add/Delete "Favorite articles", and alerts

(1) Add to "Favorite"
Click "Add to favorites" displayed in the right column of article pages. Press “Update” button to reflect the change.

(2) Add alerts
Click the alerts icon you’d like to receive on the article page. You can also get alerts by checking the box for them on “Manage Favorites”. Click the “Update” button to reflect the change.

(3) Remove favorite articles/ alerts for articles setting
On the “Manage favorite” screen, check the box of the alerts setting you want to remove. Press the “Update” button to reflect the change.

3-3. Add/Delete "Favorite titles," and alerts

(1) Add to "Favorite titles"
Click "Add to favorites" displayed in the right column in the journal top page. Press “Update” button to reflect the change.

(2) Add alerts for titles
Click the alerts icon you’d like to receive on the journal’s top page. You can also get the alerts by checking the box for them on “Manage Favorites.” Click the “Update” button to reflect the change.

(3) Remove favorite titles/alerts
On the “Manage favorites” screen, check the box of the alerts setting you want to remove. Click the “Update” button to reflect the change.
